Pashupati Nath Temple
Pashupati Nath Temple, One of Nepal’s oldest and most holiest religious site located on the eastern outskirts of the capital city of Kathmandu. Hindu devotees go to Pashupati to seek heavenly blessings from the deity. The site has been listed as a UNESCO world heritage site since 1979. Pashupatinath covers an area of 264 hectares, with 518 temples and monuments spread across it, including Unmatta Bhairava Temple, Vasuki Nath Temple, Budhanilkantha shrine and Kirtimukha Bhairava temple as well as Hanuman, Surya Narayana Temple, and 184 Sivalinga in the inner courtyard and several temples within the outer complex, including Virat Swaroop Temple, Ram Mandir, 12 Jyotirlingas, and Pandra Shivalaye.
